Coverage or scope
The scope of the learning object is to make students familiar with the global distribution of modern communicable diseases over the last years. The learning object aims at the acknowledgement of the global character of communicable diseases, their unequal geographical distribution, and the notion that they are a concstan threat to public health. Nine well-known endemic, epidemic and pandemic diseases have been chosen to be represented on the map, for which additional information is also provided. By choosing each country, students can see precise epidemiological and demographical data of the country.
