Coverage or scope
The scope of the learning object is to help students express their knowledge, perceptions and views concerning the social determinants of health that emerge during an epidemic or pandemic. Students are given a semi-structured concept map having epidemic/pandemic as a central concept, which they modify by moving, adding or deleting concepts (boxes) or connections (arrows), according to their personal views. The option of undoing a mistake is feasible. Some indicative topics are provided to the students as guidelines, but in no case as mandatory or exclusive directions. These topics are the origin of epidemics, the emotional experience during an epidemic, the professions affected during an epidemic and the changes in everyday life during an epidemic. What is the most crucial, is having the concept map designed acccodring to each student's personal viewpoint.
