Description
The Agenda for Sustainable Development 2030 addresses global challenges and outlines pathways for individual and collective contributions towards the SDGs. This educational scenario focuses on the adoption of measures at the school level to support the SDGs, with a specific emphasis on SDG3 - Good Health and Well-being, and aims to raise awareness, promote action, and empower students to positively impact their lives and their community. By learning about the SDGs, students get greater knowledge on solutions for problems they face in their own lives (e.g., energy poverty), as well as how to impact positively the lives of others. Students address the socio-scientific issues brought through the development of a scientific-based project, by collecting evidence and translating the research findings into concrete actions and efforts, to be taken at the school level, that contribute to the sustainability agenda, while promoting equality, health, well-being, and sustainability in their community. Through guided classroom learning, students understand the SDGs and their significance for global development. The educational scenario begins by introducing students to the SDGs and their significance for global development. The focus is then narrowed down to SDG3, emphasizing the importance of good health and well-being for individuals and communities, and how this goal is related to all the others.
