An open-ended, ill-structured socio-socio-scientific issue entitled "Vaccines development and the science that responds to hesitancy” provided the context for an educational scenario related to vaccines hesitancy. Teacher and students discuss the complexity and multidimensionality of a socio-scientific issue, the social risks, and the necessity to analyse such issues and potential solutions from the perspectives of different stakeholders. Furthermore, emphasis is given on the nature of science and a socio-scientific argumentation.
